Ok I guess I will replace all four. Looks like I got my work set out for a weekend. Looking forward to this thing not sounding like it is falling apart when I go over a bump. Hey, maybe I'll even take a girl out on a date in my car when it's fixed. Thank you, 1SIC4X4, 1976Mustang, XJ88 and EvstaG (I'll assume you guys DO have names) I really appreciate the advice. I'll let you know how it goes.

Leak is steering fluid. Replaced a hose but it has loosened, might have forgot to put a gasket in. Besides the ugly stains on the driveway I've considered that problem benign but maybe I shouldn't if it has the potential to corrode the bushing?

Seen steering fluid and brake fluid eat paint right up.

Figured it out and surprised at how simple this problem was. The steering fluid turned the top bushing (top as in above the sheet metal of the unibody) to paste. The nut was loose and it could just move around. Used some sprinkler washers for the moment to give it some rigidity and am ordering a new bushing. Going to order a bushing that will not dissolve in power steering fluid in case it leaks again. Not going to replace shocks since i don't have to, thank god.
