so just take off the cowl and look for the drains. then take something skinny and poke it through or if you can, just clean it out with your hands. its all the leaves and dirt that cloggs the drains.
To remove the cowl remove the wiper arms, then the screws, & have a look.

What I was asking was, what did the "glass technician" mean by the water "just over laps the body". Water over laps the body?

Yeah removing the cowl is pretty much a no brainer. I've already had that apart and then some, and there are no drain holes to clean out. My 87 didn't have them either.

in al the cars that ive seen, there is like a sink thing and theres a drain somewere there... usually one on each of the sides, sometimes they are easy to eye out and sometimes their not. but like i said, im not sure on a cherokee, so hopefully tmrw i will take mine off and ill try to find the drains and i will take a pic of it.
