Default Frozen coolant

so my coolant froze up on me, what should i do to warm it up when i dont have a garage to put it in

flush it and add somethin like a 60/40 antifreeze to water mix

Just did this trick today on mother-in-laws Blazer. Put an incandescent trouble light (good ole shoplight) under the hood, turn it on and close the hood. It will take a couple of hours but it will work.

After you get it thawed out... Check to make sure your freeze plugs didnt pop.

Geez how cold was it? A 50/50 mix is typically good to -35 degrees F.

apparently i grabbed the wrong jug or something when i replaced my cooling system, it was like 2 out when i went to start it and threw the belt

Get one of those cheap testers and always check your coolant each year before Winter comes along even if you've just flushed it. It's cheap insurance compared to a frozen block and popped freeze plugs. I hate those 50/50 jugs and don't understand why they started making those, and I could see someone accidentally grabbing one. It's a marketing ploy to sell you distilled water at about 5 times it's value. Corporate America at its finest...
