grab a $2 pump action water sprayer..carefully pump a little jet of water into each suspect area (with engine running)

this will give you big clues to rule things in/out...if ur systematic, the offending item will change pitch or shut up for a few secs, so long as the water "lubricant" can reach it

especially effective for idler pulleys & belts

i dont own that tool, it was always untouched , but when the squeal had become louder, i brought it to a local shop to try and resolve it, and one of the checklist they marked off was to check the belts/ and tension load
