Fuel Filter Leak (TEMPORARY FIX)
Hey guys,
So I found the culprit to the gas leak, it is the back short rubber hose that connects to the fuel filter. I'm so happy I found it, but I need to move it again and my arms are tired. So, I'm getting the filter next week along with the two hose attachments, Can I just take a brush and put a thin line of super glue over it so it will stop leaking gas all over the parking lot? Because that way I can just move it to the parking lot, rather than moving it 200ft each time by pushing it. (IT'S HEAVY, I'M ONLY 5'5) But I still manage to beat people doing it. So does anyone think it's a good idea just to seal it up with a thin film of super glue until I get the two hose attachment's and filter? They dry rotted from sitting in the SO CAL sun so, what do you guys think?

They have large roles of various fuel line at the parts store. If you are in some sort of jamb, you can use that clear vinyl tubing temporarily, (also on large roles), at the hardware store. I do plenty of gluing, but I have real doubts about bothering to try that.
And if you role it over back onto the wheels, it will be much easier to push.

Thanks!! Alright, someone actually said Super Glue was a bad idea, It was only something that popped into my head. I'll be getting all the stuff I need on Friday, possibly Saturday, and then my cussing rampage on trying to figure the **** out, will start !! lmao!! But seriously thank you for giving me your input.

Super glue will not cure in the presence of gasoline... very few things will. And even if it does, the seal will be temporary. Those lines are under pressure when the fuel pump is running so I would recommend following Mr. Flintstone's advice and replacing the fuel lines as soon as possible. Honestly, replacing them will be no more difficult than trying to super glue the cracks and the fuel line will cost about the same as a tube of super glue. I know it's tempting to find an easy solution but in a case where gas is involved, I would pick the right way over the easy way, not just because of all the flammability issues but because gas is expensive and pouring it all over the parking lot is an inefficient use of a young man's money. Trust me, you'll need that money for something else in not too long
This concludes your economics lesson for the day.

Yea all you need is like 6" of 3/8 rubber fuel line and 4 new clamps.
Cut the 6" of hose in half and install on both sides of the filter with clamps and your done.
It should not cost over $10 or take more than 10-15 minutes to repair.
