Man. Went to the junk yard today and they only had 1 car that I was looking for that didn't have its engine pulled. Was a 96' Neon SOHC but had 740 injectors in it. :-(
Got 3 more to check out so crosses fingers.

I got some explorer upr/lwr intakes that i decast and polish then resell to the mustangers as an upgrade over stock. Its the same as a gt40 int but about 10 cfm less flow.
anyway i pulled like 5 of these out of the j-yard and i have prolly 16 or so injectors (have to check). they are the yellows. will these plug right in to my 99?
I too have been searching the hell out of this, but did not find much about 99 up.
thanks.

Jeep Electronic Control Unit Reset
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
When installing new power or performance accessories how does the computer for the Jeep know that it has a new accessory? Most of the time the computer does not. The computer would need to be reset to take full potential of the performance accessories you have added.
The Electronic Control Module, or ECU as its commonly called, stores the information for your vehicle and your driving habits in its memory. The memory is maintaned by a series of capacitors that hold a charge and maintain power for the ECU when the vehicle is turned off. The following procedure will allow you to reset the memory and allow the computer to 're-learn' how to drive by adjusting to the drivers habits and the vehicles modifications.
1. Disconnect the battery by removing the positive battery cable. Remember, the positive battery cable.
2. Ground the positive cable to the negative cable for 30 seconds to erase the electric charge in the capacitors.
3. Reconnect the positive cable to the battery.
4. Turn the key to on but do not start.
5. Turn the headlights on.
6. Turn the headlights off.
7. Turn the key off.
The ECU has now been reset to its factory settings. For the next 50 warm-up periods the ECU will re-learn the engine and driving habits for your driving conditions and the newly installed parts.

Did the fuel injector upgrade but did not reset the ECM and it ran about the same as it did with the old injectors. This afternoon reset the ECM and man did it feel like it had more response. We are going to the coast this weekend and I will check the mileage to see what kind of improvements I got with the change.

Sweet man! Report back! I changed mine out a few days ago and noticed a much better throttle response and mine started better/faster. Idled a little smoother too.
This was the injector inside my Jeep.
The one of the left is stock, and I had 2 installed. The one on the right I pulled 4 of those suckers out!!!
I was getting 12mpg before, so hopefully this will drastically increase my mileage.
The numbers that I can find around online, from the few who actually post their mpg after the injector upgrade, it seems it be about a 2mpg average increase.

Going to the coast for 5 days. Not much wheeling but it will be a one way 5 hour drive so I will have more news on the new injectors then.
Right now Babajeep runs great with a little more seat of the pants response when I accelerate but I want to see if I can beat my 19 to 21 MPG I am getting now.
We are running $4 a gallon here. I know if I want better gas mileage I should have gotten a Camry but I want my rig to run as efficiently as I can get it.
Next step is a lift and bigger tiers and the gas mileage will be going down so first I want to see how many miles I can get from a gallon of gas then start weighing it down with stuff.
