Default Fuel Line Fittings - What To Buy?

I want to replace the fuel line that connects to the rail on my 97, but nobody seems to reproduce this part, and what i found at the yards are no better than mine. I want to replicate the factory line 100%, fitting and all. I wasnt thinking of it at the time so i never cut one open to look (and mine is still in use), but how many barbs did the factory fitting use to secure the line to it? And how is the end of the line itself terminated? Are there barbs at each end of that as well, or something else?

Dorman 5/16" fitting has one barb at the very end. Its more like a flare i suppose, but you get the idea.

https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo...k=633905&jsn=5

Out of curiousity, why does thier 3/8" fitting have two?

https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo...k=633906&jsn=6

Like said, i want to reproduce the factory line 100%, if its even possible (im a bit of a purist with this stuff). Metal fittings only. No clamps, and no AN fittings, etc..

Thanks.

None on ebay that ive seen. Even with the factory part # i cant find one. All i keep finding is the long line under the vehicle. I need the one that snakes up past the intake manifold to the fuel rail. Ive searched for fuel line, fuel piping, fuel tube, fuel rail line, etc., for Cherokee, XJ, Jeep and Mopar. Nothing. Nobody reproduces this line, and the dealers dont have it. Making my own appears to be the only way.

I guess your line is two piece because this is the front part .

Should be able to find one on Ebay pretty easily, otherwise, I would look for someone who is parting out an XJ and see if they still have it (unless you want one that is brand new)

I get an ebay error page wth that link.

"We looked everywhere. Looks like this page is missing. If you still need help, visit our help pages."

No worries as i can see the part # called out in the url and its for Omix-ADAs 17732.30 (Mopar part #52127896). Thats the long line under the vehicle (the back half). I already have that one. The line im after is the one that snakes up past the intake manifold (the front half). That particular line (for a 97 4.0L) is part # 52100138AB according to Chrysler. Ebay cant find one. I did however just find two hits for 52100137AE, which is for a 98 4.0L, again according to Chrysler. One is asking $110 and the other $116. Whats the difference between a 97-98? I never took notice at the yards.

That link works, but your previous link was hiding a secret.

97 = 52100138AB
98 = 52100137AE

The dealer cant tell me since they dont have either one to compare the two. Was it a simple number change which Chrysler has a nasty habit of doing, or is there something physically different between them? If so, what is that difference? If any.

I bit the bullet and bought 52100137AE off ebay. Texas seller. Found an old thread on NAXJA that said it superceded 52100138AB. That would explain why i cant find 138AB anywhere. It had a couple different part #s apparently. Moparpartsoverstock shows the #s 52100137AE, 52100137AD, 52100138, 52100138AB, 52100138AC and 52850360 for the same part. It never came up in any searches prior to this but AFTER buying it off ebay (of course!), the same part # ive been searching for over and over just happens to come up in a search, from Summit of all places. With an actual photo no less. Bingo!

Here is the part ive been searching for to show you guys:
https://www.summitracing.com/parts/mop-52100137ae

Only $3 less than ebay. Pocket change. I just hope the one off ebay arrives intact without damage. Sellers have been skimping on the packaging lately. ALOT of them.

I finally got the line, from a dealer out west. It is the part i need, but of course it arrived damaged. They shipped it in a box that was too small and the nylon tubing was kinked. Once you kink that stuff, game over. I just requested a return, with photos. Sadly, i cannot post them here. Thanks Photobucket! Also, the link i posted for Summit is a no go. I added it to my cart and when i went to checkout, i got this:

"The part MOP-52100137AE currently has 0 in stock and 0 that will be special ordered for you. Tentative ship date: Processing 6/18/2018 if your order is placed today."
