Default Fuel pump question

I'm trying to purchase a new fuel pump assembly this week. I know I have a leaky check valve and it annoys the hell out of me. So my question is which is the better pump? If I can I'd rather avoid buying the most expensive one which is the bosch..but if I have to I will. Are there any other cheaper brands that do the trick and are going to solve my problem and not crap out on me in the long run.

Probably better to drop the tank, remove the old fuel pump and see what it was first before ordering a new one. Mine ('87) was a Bosch and I ordered a Carter but it needed some adapting to get it to fit the assembly.

Not sure about your year Cherokee but I broke the hanger bolts on mine and they aren't available at a parts store. You may want to be ready for that if your's look like they might put up a fight.

The Carter fuel pump module assembly is more affordable than the Bosch (that's what I used) Carter part number P75040M.

I disassembled by old OEM pump and found "Bosch" printed on the pump/motor assembly so it's my belief, like others have said, Bosch was used as the OEM assembly.
