329 miles on a 20 gallon tank = 16.24 mpg. That's with a fresh rebuild (5k ago). I would like to see how a 99+ intake, neon injectors and a good cone air filter would do.

You don't want to measure your MPG on the size of your gas tank, since I doubt you run your tank dry and get the Jeep towed to the gas station every time you need a refill. Instead, measure it on how much gas you put in the tank from empty to full. Most people have between 3 and 6 gallons left in the tank when they go to fill up. I go to the gas station when the Jeep starts to stall and studder around sharp turns. I usually fill up with 18 gallons.

to be honest, there was no real reason that i changed the TPS other than it most likely had not been changed. i read somewhere on here that they do go bad, and not always fail completely, so i figured since it was a quick cheap replacement, i would start there.
i also plan on going through the other sensors and replacing them as time and money allow.
i figure if i know what has been recently replaced, if something does go haywire, then it will be easier to narrow down the possible culprit.
i run rotella t6 5W40 synthetic, champion copper plugs, 87 or 89 octane gas from speedway, and every 3rd tank or so i will run an injector cleaner in the gas.
aside from a 2" lift, 30x9.5 tires, 2 driving lights on the bumper and a code 3 light on the roof, everything is stock...
i was a little dissappointed with my gas mileage so i decided to be proactive rather than reactive with maintenance....the tps was just the start.
i think that perhaps tightening the bolts on the throttle body may have done more than the tps. hard to say.
i have a multimeter, although i don't know how to use it....and i have my old tps.
anyone have any tips on checking it? i'll post the results.

Nice.. that shouldn't look too bad atop of a Cherokee. For the wind burnt lenses, try some of that headlight restoration stuff they sell at autoparts stores. That should help, if not cure that issue.

OP did you get the sensor from the dealership? or did you go with a store brand.
this is what I found from advance auto parts store
