Unhappy Gas tank in now Toast

Well Guys I was Wheeling my 93 cherokee [its bone stock BTW] in my back yard
and my right foot got happy and i went over a hill a 35+ and jumped in and some how it like destroyed my gas tank and loosened the wires connecting the send unit can it be fixed

i have a 96 parts Cherokee with no moter but i have no clue how to change them at all but i have noticed slight differences when i look at the to tanks like there is a return fuel line on my 93 and none on the 96s sendunit and the send unit harness in way diff i can match up wires but what are the yellow red wires for on the 96?
Thanks

I don't know. The '96 should have one too. Are you questioning this simply because you don't see the line itself? Somebody may have taken that line out. You need to compare the connector counts of each unit. They should be the same. Sounds like you should get your hands on a shop manual...

Not sure about the wires but the pump on my '89 went out 2 weeks ago and I got a replacement (whole assembly) from alljeepparts401 on ebay for 1 cent... Shipping was about 10 bucks so $10.01 all in all and it worked perfectly. Was a used pump freshly pulled. Just figured I'd throw that out there.... Thought it was a great deal.

Is the 93 an external Pump. Thats probably sender and pump power. Probably could just use the 93s sender assy, if they fit the 96 tank....

The 96+ have no return ine because the fuel pressure regulator is inside the tank

Honestly its 2 bolts.. they are the two hangar strap bolts.... they are 9/16 size. use a Deep well socket. the deeper the better... otherwise youll be there for ages with a wrench haha anyways diconnect the lines from the tank. MARK THEM! and disconnect the wires. there should be 2 plugs near by to undo.. the biggest pita is the damn filler tube and vent line hose... they are hard to get off and harder to get on. just undo the hose clamps with a flat head and pull with all your might haha not too hard. just irritating. and fyi use a motorcycle jack to lower the tank. its a dream haha otherwise have a jack and stands ready to go.
