gas tank trouble?

gas tank trouble?
for some reason.. my gas tank is being very bad. it will not constantly pump gas, i have to hold the handle half way down and slowly pump gas into it. that is the first thing thats wrong. 2nd is my gas guage is wacked out. it will just go hay wire sometimes and be upside down. while the gas light is on. any help at all? im lost. thanks!
