Question Gauges drop off..

When driving down the road, all my guages drop to nothing. They stay lit up as I go but drop off and come back on like normal. They do this multiple times. My oil sensor also when it is workin normal goes wild like its loose maybe. Is it loose or just like that from the problem with the guages dropping off?

you can pull out your cluster and try cleaning the terminals maybe its a bad connection or could be a bad ground somewhere

I would check / clean connections at the cluster, check power and grounds @ cluster

Default not a perminant fix

OK, my truck was doing this too, it was getting quite annoying and I was not ready to pull the dash off I had heard mention that it could be a short or a loose plug. one day during traffic I got mad when it happened and pounded on the top of the dash just to the right side of the steering wheel everything snapped back to attention. after that every time they dropped to zero I'd pound in the same place 3 quick strong blows brought it all to life, after about a week of this they never dropped off again.

my guess is something was laying across a connector causing a short, or I managed to jiggle the connector back in... a true mechanic would remove the panel and check the cluster plugs...
