So I am new here triying to fit, so be patient. I have two XJs one is a non oper. '88 I just got without a tranny, a blown engine but with a 6.5" Rusty's lift, decent 33's, rear D44 with disc brakes and 4:10 geared. The other one is my daily driver a 99 with a realy crappy 3.5 lift. The Idea was to get the 6.5" Rustys from the old one to the newest. Would this work? I know changing the rear end is almost a bolt on swap. But would I be able to use the 4:10 ring an pinion from the 88 into the 99 front axle?
