So I'm thinking I might want to trade down to 31" tires. what gears would work good for both 31s and 33s?
thanks

4.10's

31's and 32's you want 4.10's

33's for more road use than trail - 4.10's
33's for trail use - 4.56's
33's for the people wanting to simulate a 3:1 t-case crawl ratio offroad 4.88's

Go search for a tire gear calculator and go play with some numbers.

Or just use the equation:

new tire size = NT
old tire size = OT
new gear ratio = NG
old gear ratio = OG

(NT * OG) /OT = OG
