I got one for my 90 MJ but couldn't get one for my 88 XJ........

 

This is where i went for mine... apparently mine is too old, and i figured if my jeep has made it 24 years without worry, i think it'll be good. lol.

 

I'm thinking 89 and later is the best they can do.

 

I requested mine last week with the link F1addict provided but haven't received anything other than a blasted survey from them.

 

Thanks F1. I got mine today. As far as the recall, is this listed on the build sheet too? I don't see one on mine but I think i've read somewhere there was a recall for the antilock brake system. There is nothing on my build sheet regarding a recall.

I am very pleased with the site. I got this within a few days of sending the e-mail. I think I sent it out 2 days ago actually. Either way, it was still a fast reply.

 

These build sheets can be educational. I discovered that, in all likelihood, my XJ came equipped with the incorrect wheels based on the 10" rear drums. The steel wheels, which the original owner insists were never changed, hit on the outer edge of the rear drums before the lugs are tight so it bent the spokes when tight. Also, when my fuel gauge reads empty it only takes 14.5 gallons of gas to fill it so I assumed I had the smaller tank. Now I know I have a 20 gallon tank and my fuel gauge is just off.

I got a question about mine now. The list says the stock tire size was an R16, but I have the original rims on tires that are R15 and my rims are 15 inches. Didn't all cherokees come with 15 inch rims? Is this a typo or what? Biohazed's jeep is the same trim as mine, just one year newer and it says this: "TRMA P225/75R16 BSW On/Off Road Tires
WJRP 16X6.0 Aluminum Chrome Wheels." Did they change the rim size in 1990 or somethin? Some of the other codes don't exactly add up either.

 

no mine actually had the 15" Crosslace Gold Limited Wheels originally at least when I got it that's what it had on it lol.

I know the newer ones like the 97+'s had a 16" wheel option don't think our gen had 16" wheel as an option but I could be wrong.

 

Open the driver's door and look at the sticker. If it say's 15" rim then the build sheet is wrong.

 

Yeah, I think my build sheet is just wrong. I got the gold rims also. I love the limited trim package. Power everything! Seats are comfy as hell too. The paint is comin off my rims though :/ Oh well, I'll get new ones when I put a lift and tires on.
