Back to the original problem--the axle may be bent at the hub.

Well to me that was not a joke. You included me in that statement and I just happen to have 3 years experience at a shop! As a given and I would never dispute because I am logically minded. The ratio of women who know basic automotive skills is way way less then men. But you'd be supperized at just how many men I've seen come into the shop to get me to change a light bulb or a battery! Seriously! and the look on there face when I do it for them is priceless! Granted with a battery there is the process of determining weather or not it's the altanator or the battery or just because they have snow mountains on the terminals ect! still light bulbs ha ha!

lol it wasnt directed towards all women AT ALL. My best friends mom was one of the best welders/mechanics around when she had her shop open. That being said, she was still probably the only woman in town who even knew how to change a tire.

Sure there are plenty of exceptions, but the fact remains. There aren't a lot of guy cheerleaders....but they exist...yet the majority of men do not cheer lead. You don't see cheerleading guys getting all upset because somebody said most guys aren't cheerleaders.
i think he said it best

And here, to me your first statement was not a joke women do " think " all I really wanted was an apology, not a big long rant....

Sorry for jackin' the tread too... But I don't back down and I stand up for my self I don't take such things lightly, being a women in the trades I have something to prove I need to be able to do this and be respected as an equal. So if I don't stand up for my self and all the other women, respectfully, in the trades we won't be treated as equals! apologies....but that's just what reality is for us I have to have a hardened thick skin to hack it so I just jump all over these things when they come up
