Ok if this wasn't a slam, then what does that mean?
So how if the water going to blow out a hot glasspack?
It's thick steel and I doubt he is going to shut down the 4.0 in water and water aint gonna reach the fiberglass while running.

I ask seeing others accuse me of having an attitude.
A $10 muffler beats none at all.

uh...no slam at all.

i have a friend with a dakota with a 5.2 and glasspack exhaust, loud as hell and sounds orgasmic! his cherrybomb is blown out and it sounds great. from what ive read, hot glasspack and water blows it out. i ran a glass pack but i used flex-pipe all the way out back. all the stuff out back came loose so now i dont run it but while it did, it sounded good.

what he ment is when you geet a hot glasspack in water it will break loose and the packing will break up thus making it louder and more like a stright pipe.

This hot glasspack and water combo has been a known fact for years. Why is anyone surprised?

Ummmmm because I never had it happen or saw it happen.
I grew up learning in a garage that was a custom exhaust shop and was a Thrush dealer and I put a glasspack on everthing I owned.
I use to get some leaks on the header mounted ones until I learned to soak my gaskets in water for 30 mins but other than that never had a problem.

Are you guys using real Thrush glasspacks?
