Lug nuts, are they tight--can you remove them if needed? Spare tire--- has and holds air, Jack---Does it work, is the handle with it?

Suspension. Make sure you dont have any play in ball joints, tie rods, wheel bearings and any bushings. Check Motor mount and trans mounts. Checked your front and rear diff fluids. Check your your brakes make sure you dont have any axle seals leaking or leaking wheel cylinders. Make sure no play in u-joints. Make sure the transmission fluid is full and in good condition.

i got the exact same year engine and trans, i took it from la to san diego the next day after i bought it and it did fine, i would change the oil and such.. make sure your hoses aint dryed up and basically no bands or rubber anything is cracked...

Valvoline 10W40 during warm weather--Valvoline 5W30 during the winter.
