Default A Good Replacement Rear View MIRROR that will last more than 2 years?

I purchased a DONNELLY rear view mirror for my 1990 XJ and after 2 years it had fogged and desilvered around all of the edges. I was just looking at the CROWN manufactured rear view mirrors and reviews say their Day/Night lever is crap and refuses to stay put when set.

So what's a decent brand that will last if your XJ, like mine, is parked outside 24/7? (Yes, I have a sun shade but it doesn't cover the mirror.)

Thanks in advance.

While scrounging around the pickyourparts, I came across '90 XJ with a good mirror so I took it, along with other parts, I'm not sure what other years are compatible but I suspect it's many.

I only say this as I recall from some of your other posts that you may be on the hunt for other parts. When you find a good one, pick whatever you can from it. EGRs, EVAP components, switches, cables, ECU/TCU. You may not need it now but who knows. I'm down in OC and very few XJs appear locally. When one shows up, I scramble like am F-15 on alert, to cherry pick whatever I can. Even then, I'm beaten to it.

I was at the Monrovia LKQ Pick-Your-Part on Friday grabbing a few parts off the '92 XJ they have. I always check their price list before I go and jot down the parts and prices I'm hunting for. I grabbed a few parts like the driver's side parking light housing, side marker lenses, etc. but when I checked out not only was everything much more expensive than what they say on their website, they were more expensive than buying new from CarParts.com. Their only response at LKQ's check-out window was, "Whatever." I walked out with nothing but skinned knuckles for my efforts. The rest of that '92 is picked cleaner than a dead wildebeest on the Serengeti.
