Goodbye cruel world
Well, it's been a good run. Picked up my 1996 Jeep Cherokee cheap, fixed a few things here and there and my wife drove it for a couple years.
Yesterday was the end. While taking a freeway curve in downtown Minneapolis during a snow storm, she lost control. She states she could not count how many times she spun. Hit the retaining wall with both front and rear and ended up in the ditch. Was able to get out of the ditch.
Wife is fine. Jeep, not so much.
Drove it last night after adding air to the tire that went flat. Front right corner seems to sit lower, steering wheel off center, rear leaf spring bent, looks like the rear frame rail is bent even though it was beefed up with a trailer hitch (bent) mounted between rails. Front/Rear bumpers toast. Opened the rear hatch and had a tough time closing it cause the broken taillight was in the way.
Pictures don't do the damage justice.
So, goodbye Jeep (no full coverage), beside your death Wobble and electric window problems you've been pretty good.
Most of all thanks for keeping my wife safe in what could have been a tragic event.

So, Got a line on a 2001 Cherokee with a bad engine. Coincidentally, the engine in the 1996 has been very strong. Both I-6, 4.0. Would the block/head be a direct replacement. Engine mounts, Trans.....
