Goodbye cruel world

Sorry about the jeep, glad the wife was OK. One of those is easier to find on Craigslist than the other.
Get ready for Thursday, looks like another storm coming. (I'm about 3 hours East of you)

When my last XJ got totaled, the insurance company sold it back to me for $150. Best $150 I ever spent on my Jeep. It only had body/uniframe damage. It was still running perfectly after the crash. The motor is going to be stroked.

I'd do what the others are saying, buy it back and repair it. I know you said it has the Death Wobble and now most likely jacked up steering parts, so replace everything you need to and (hopefully) fix the DW in the process!
Heck, my '93 was in an accident on it front right corner. Insurance totaled it, I paid them $220 for it, trip to the JY for suspension and body parts, then a few hours of a Saturday fixing it. Little frame damage, but nothing a buddy with a frame puller and BFH couldn't fix.
EDIT: This is the result of said repairs to mine....Don't have any of the damage, but the fender I pulled matched my paint BEAUTIFULLY!

Nothing to buy back. Only had liability insurance. So, it's mine.
It has suspension problems. To be honest, I'm sick of fighting the death wobble. I've tried and replaced everything that I've ever read that could possibly be wrong. Finally took it to the shop(I never do that) and after they aligned it and tinkered with stuff they made it worse. $600 I'd like back. Was able to get it so as long as you stayed under 65 it wasn't a problem.
Now though at 60 the DW starts and is worse.
Contacted the owner of the 2001 I mentioned earlier in this thread and he stated that he did have "a wobble"until he got new tires and now it's gone.
Frankly, I don't think I will be buying another vehicle with the solid front axle.
Anyone want to buy an engine?

Rolled? That Jeep doesn't look rolled at all, it barely looks wrecked! You sir do not sound like the type of person that should be driving a Jeep anyways...also, use google to search the site instead of the site's search--it's worthless. and guess what--IFS vehicles can get death wobble too.

Apparently, I've offended you somehow. Not my intention.
I liked the jeep and it did great in the snow.
But, my wife used it as a daily driver and to know I won't be throwing another $100 at it and still here my wife come home and say "it's still doing it!" Is comforting somehow.

My apologies--no offense taken...just saying that our perception of damage is different. Also, I was referring to this line:
In circles? LOL, for some reason, I took that as a rollover. It's early yet
She states she could not count how many times she spun.

So, Got a line on a 2001 Cherokee with a bad engine. Coincidentally, the engine in the 1996 has been very strong. Both I-6, 4.0. Would the block/head be a direct replacement. Engine mounts, Trans.....
Have not been able to find this answer after searching here.
Be great if it did. 5 years newer and A/C that works

To swap a 96 block in the 01 would require making a custom coil pack rail because the holes are not there for them. There would need to be an adapter between the head and exhaust because the ports are different sizes.
You would be best off to buy a 0331 tupy head and put it on the 96 block.
