The only things on your list you didn't mention if you have a vacuum disconnect is the switch for the dash light and he vacuum harness. You don't really need a diagram, it is fairly simple. Red is engine vacuum, white is lock, yellow is unlock and green is to the vacuum switch.

Is there any pictures of where this vacuum disconnect is located and where it hooks up to on the axle?

I looked at the axle and there is only 1 vacuum line coming off it. Does the sound right.

No there should be two and there should be three on the t/c and one goes to the selector valve which, I think activates the dash light. Someone gave you color codes for the vacuum lines which the older Jeeps like I am used to, didn't have so follow their recommendations. They( the vacuum lines) may be better explained in the FSM, if you have one available to you.

Get the elimination kit or the PosiLok and forget the stupid poorly functioning vacuum discos. It may cost a little more but in the long run is more satisfying to know the axle is engaged when you want it engaged.

I still dont think this is a disconect axle being it came from a 96.

A non disco axle will have a breather hose that comes from the top right side of the diff (from looking from the rear) Is this what your freferring to as a vacuum line?

Yes. Is the non disco a bad axle.

It's a good axle. Being a 95+ it should have the 297 u-joints which are the larger/stronger that were installed.
