Default Grinding from front of 90 cherokee

Advice needed. I have a 90 cherokee 4x4 and can hear a grinding sound from the front drivers side and some from the passenger at low speeds with out pressing gas but slowing down. I changed brakes and rotors both but still hear the grinding/metal/roaring sound from front end at low speed. Could this be bearings or more serious issue?? When I changed the brakes and rotors I did not notice any issues with front end parts. Thanks ..

This is good advice, I'd check the dust shield. But I also had the same problem on my '91 XJ and it turned out it was the wheel hub assy - http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/web...S_389495324___ is the exact part I replaced it with and the noise went away. Mine sounded like light sheet metal dragging on the pavement with a loud clicking sound thrown in.

Also forgot.. If you can jack up either the driver's side or passenger side, pull towards you on the top and bottom of the wheel for play and if it shifts at all it's the hub. Also, check out this video:
-- I pulled off the brake caliper and the rotor and rotated the hub assy and it sounded like that. If it's not that, check for that dust shield or something else.

Could be wheel bearings. Are you sure you didnt put a brake pad on backwards.
