no with the new tranny mount its not even close to anything that would cause it to make this noise.

Its awful hard to diagnose a sound we haven't heard with the incredibly minimal info we have...

Wouldn't happen to be your transfer case linkage would it? Is it like a rattling sound or actually grinding?

went out to get a sound sample and seems to have stopped

took a short drive and its very noisy. still shifts smooth just makes a loud drone up to 45mph then the sound drops down to normal.... my exhaust is a bit loud but above 45 i can hear the exhaust sound im used to. below 45 with this sound i can barely hear the exhaust

i get the noise above 45 only if i speed up quick as if passing someone but accelerating normaly doesnt produce the same loud drone.

maybe i can get a video with the drone im talking about...

Maybe a really bad exhaust leak? Like a biggggg crack in the manifold somewhere? That would cause some noise (not a grinding noise though... just exploring all possibilities) and definitely some driveability issues.

dont believe so.....possible but i dont see any issues with the exhaust only the crack in the manifold but its not at the point of making making this noise. really sounds like right under the center console.

also there really is any issues affecting the drive. shifts smooth dont seem to have lost any performance. just loud and vibrates slightly which does find anything loos in the cab.... anoying loose trim rattling but thats the least of my worries right now

If it is the linkage, one way to tell is that when you hear it, if you pull up slightly on the shifter handle it should stop. I'm kinda thinking this isn't your issue as that usually only rattles while sitting in drive at a stop or red light, least for me anyways. Sometimes when I'm taking off.

They do now! Right next to the flux capacitor!

Should be rebuilt every time you replace muffler bearings, or at least checked when filling the blinker fluid.

Stethoscope to pinpoint where noise is coming from. The flex plate was mentioned, don't rule it out.. Idk man, good luck..

got a popping sound from under the center console when i was pulling into a driveway today. front tires got stuck in a rut so i gave it some gas to get out and i got a pop/loud click 3 or 4 times

how can i check my transfer case.....my 4hi doesnt seem engage untill just about the neutral position.....could my noise be the transfer trying to connect or partaly connected when it appears to be in 2wd and the leaver doesnt feel like it can go back any more past neutral postion....
