Gut or don't gut....
Story first; question later!
The clamp in front of the cat. converter broke and the front half of the convert dropped when we had to tow the jeep because of a flat caused by my sister.
Here's the question should I gut the cat. converter to free up a few hp and mpg? The isn't a problem just want yalls take on this. The converter is stopped up!
I ain't got money for a cat back system or a new converter. Just till I get the money.

You can gut the cat if you want. But no one here will approve of you doing it.
And some people have reported having issues with the second O2 sensor not reading correctly. I haven't personally done it. But where i live i don't have emissions or inspections. So everything i own is CAT free. Except the jeep which will change soon enough.
