Gut wrenching dent on body line.
Welp. Went 20 years with a super clean nearly perfect body. Other than a little paint chips here and there.
today my daughter slipped and ran her bike into my door. She’s fine. But the handle bars landed right into one of the lower body lines.
is there any hope of getting this out. Big paint chip too.

A body shop can probably push that out and make it look much better. You might have some luck with just a suction cup puller on the lower dented area.

Glad she's OK. Bending the crease like that takes a fair amount force.
You can pull the door panel off and likely get behind that quite easily. Looks like the paint has delaminated and chipped. Was that part there before?

That is a shame.
I wonder what a body shop would charge for something like that.
When it comes to the door molding on an XJ I can go either way.
Leave it on or take it off. I chose to leave mine on.
I wonder what that dent would look like if it were still there?

the paint was fine before the dent. I tapped it out a bit today. I may just sand it and paint as good as I can. Then get some body armor. To protect me for little girls. Haha
