Hay all...
I just upgraded to the Autopals with a new Eworks harness. I still need to aim them but I ran out of night so that will have to wait till tonight.
My question should be an easy one...
Once I changed the harness and turned the lights on my daytime running lights didn't come on. So, did I screw something up or is this cuz of the new harness? If I leave it the way it is will I have anything to watch for or is it fine just turning the lights on when I want them on?
Sometime soon I am hoping to put some red headlights on the jeep, on a switch, so when I am in camp I don't mess with night vision and what not. Needless to say I would have to override or disable the dtr anyways.

Your running lights do not get effected or changed by the upgraded harness. Just the headlights.
The wiring for the running lights and turn signals stays factory.

If your really worried about it I believe there is a relay for your drls you can pull.

You're misunderstanding DRL's. They're headlamps at reduced output, which are required by law in Canada. They're not the same as the regular parking lights and turn signals. Since they're reduced voltage, they don't have enough power to turn the relay for the headlamps on.

Hes talking about the headlights that run during the day, not the side lights or turn signal lights that come on when your pull your light switch out 1 click.

Ive seen info on a diff thread about this. It does mess with it. Look around. Ive read your drl wont work and to jump the relay idk tho

Ok.. Sorry all... Yes I am talking about the lights that come on when you put the jeep in drive.
I know it is law to have this working but since I always drive with the lights on I don't really see a problem with unhooking the module... Like I said before.. I will be hooking up some red lights for when I'm driving around camp. So I know you really aren't suposed to tell me how to unhook something that is law but... Where would I find the module that I would unhook if you could tell me... ;P

it doesn't say how to fix your DRLs, it says how to fix the high beam light not coming on when you disconnect the DRL module.
As far as i know, there's no way to use the DRLs and the upgraded harness at the same time. To do this you would have to run a separate wire from the DRL module to the opposite side of the harness relay for the low beams. Unless you REALLY like your DRLs i say it's not worth it though...

I don't really even like the DRLs.. I want the lights on when I want them on but I also like to be able to turn them off when I want to drive without lights. I am that guy that turns my lights out before I pull in my driveway so I don't wake my house up or my poor neighbours. I work late in the winter so it is nice to not have to wake up others. anyways..
If I just leave things the way they are will I burn anything up? I don't like wiring and since so many things can happen I have been worried since I put the new harness in.
