For anyone looking back on this thread, I wouldn't recommend projector housings like I got. I like the look of them but am not too fond of the light output. Don't get me wrong, they are plenty bright with the Putco harness (even with the crappy 55w bulbs that came with the headlight housings) but projectors like mine scatter the light so much and have a terrible pattern. I guess I should have listened to the recommendations of everyone else and gotten Autopals. Moral of the story, don't pull a me!

Thanks for sharing, before i did my h4 conversion I looked heavily into converting to HID with projectors and what not, but to be honest, with the E-Spec housings and my PIAA intense white bulbs at stock wattage I'm amazed. The first go around with the conversion I bought the autopal diamond clear housings for the sole reason that I wanted it to look cool and different from every other XJ. Those, and other diamond housings I have used, are complete junk...very bad light output as you lose a lot of light and pattern with the crappy multi-reflector system. I went ahead and bought the E-spec from the same guy on ebay for 42$ shipped and it was a night an day difference, very good pattern and output.
One thing to be careful of is the color selection of your bulb. You start going any higher then a 4100K or a 5000 and you lose usable light. Compare even the best housing with a 6000k bulb in the rain, to a 4300k bulb and you'll notice you can't see nearly as well with the higher kelvin, as our eyes can't catch the blue colors wavelengths as easy as a more yellow. With my 4100K I can still see perfectly in the rain. With completely stock everything it was a huge safety concern as you can't see SH$T, I'm very happy with the route I took.

I was just about to post the same page. Thanks man. I found the answer on a diff. thread on google. SO those and a putco harness that someone posted a few pages pack. Then look for bulbs. Any suggestions on some nice white or light blue bulbs that are good rain or shine and dont blind other but give me good sight??
