Hard starts after warming up

Welp. That didn't last long. The hard starts are back. Could a anti-drainback valve fail that quickly?
I'm thinking maybe I have a leaky injector now as the hard starts are more of a stumble. But there were a couple weeks there after I replaced the fuel pump where it started perfectly, so I'm back to square 1.
Sheesh, wish I had had the money for a Bosch now.

I changed my injectors last week. Wow, were the old ones dirty and probably were leaking. It's back to starting up very good now. It appears I had a case of drainback valve failure and leaky injectors.

So you didn't end up replacing the fuel pump with a new one? How's the Carter running? I might be picking one of those up soon. Last I heard the Bosch's were on backorder

The Carter pump seems to be running fine. It produces the correct pressure and it is a lot quieter than the original pump. I have to put my head against the fuel tank to hear it running. Whereas with the stock pump I could hear it run from the driver's seat.

I replaced the original fuel pump with the Carter. I was still getting hard starts (not as bad, but some) after I did that. I feared that the new pump's drainback valve had failed but I kept the pump in. I then replaced the fuel injectors and the hard starts have gone away completely.

Edit: Also, your gauge is working fine? That's my main reason for changing my pump.

Great news. I've had all of my injectors out when doing my freeze plugs, due to my lack of understanding at the time that I didn't need to pull them. When I reassembled it, one of them was spraying fuel after I started up. So, new o-rings later, the stumbly start issue happened. I think it's safe to say that I perhaps have some kind of leak. Thanks for helping me out as well. Now I know what to do! 784 swap time methinks.
