Has anyone used 0/30 oil in their 4.0?

Oil on the surface of parts does not lubricate. It is the FLOW of oil between parts that lubricates A thinner oil allows for better flow, thus lubricating better. After reading your post with my quote, what you said started to make sense to me so i did a lot of googleing on this subject and i learned something new. thanks Dukie564 for teaching thie old dog a new trick.

I believe several mfgs are recommending 5WXX with 0WXX being preferred. 0WXX is only available in synthetic so (to me) it obvious why mfgs would prefer you use 0WXX. 0WXX flows quicker to engine parts at start-ups below normal operating temp and 0W30, 5W30, 10W30 and 30W are the same vis/weight at normal operating temp.
