Default Headlight and gauge cluster issue

I Just took ownership of a 97 Cherokee Sport 2wd. When I pull the headlights the parking lights don' work at all. But if I barely pull them the come on. Any ideas? I replaced the switch today.

Also none of my gauges are working except my warning lights. Any ideas? All fuses are good.

well on the 97 on up the gauge cluster all works off of a dual "fixture" type plug. About half way through this short video you'll see what I mean. I would use the FSM and trace your grounds... sounds to me like you may have a wire loose.

Default Thanks

I will try it tomorrow. I am still puzzled about the head light switch as to why the running lights cut off when I pull it to the running light position and head light position. But if I barely pull the **** they come on.

are you sure that the replacement switch wasn't as worn as the original one you had in it? Could be the contacts in the switch.

It's a brand new switch. The original switch did the same thing. I' puzzled. They worked fine and then all of a sudden they stopped
