Headlight Problem
1996 XJ Sport
When I turned on headlights this AM, all lights are working except low beam headlights.
All 40 amp fuses under hood appear good.
Flashing high beams with left stalk, high beams and high beam indicator lamp come on, go off when released, i.e., high beams don't stay on without holding stalk back.
Headlight Switch problem?
Advance Auto calls it the "Instrument Panel Dimmer Switch" https://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p/...747/12521938-P

Or the harness?
My second or third video I found this. Doing the same thing as mine, but my light switch hasn't been touched since the factory iirc.

Did you do the headlight harness upgrade?

I really recommend the headlight harness upgrade. Takes the load off the switch and undersized wiring. Not 100% sure about the HO, but on the Renix, the flash-to-pass is on a different circuit and fuse than the normal headlight circuit through the switch.

I did because it takes some of the load off the factory wiring and the brighter lights are just a bonus. LOL.

There is a flat rectangle connector on the driver's side wheel-well known for corrosion and high resistance since they aren't weather proof. Symptoms.. dim or non functioning header panel lights, turn signals malfunction. Clean it or eliminate it. But glad you found the bigger problem
