Approximate...
$40 shipped for housings
$25 shipped in bulbs
$30 H4 plugs ( I bought two sets though, only need two)
$50 in wire and other stuff I have left over still/ will use later. Could have searched for wire but didn't want to go under the house lol... So roughly $150 in all of it. I absolutely love this set up

Question
Question,
I'm looking to upgrade and get autopal housings and the Putco Harness.
I just found some bad reviews on the harness and it's quality. Is anyone having problems with harness, or are the reviews I'm reading likely because of user error? Thanks

I've had mine installed for a week now no problems at all. Like cruiser has said, usually the problems are because people don't hook up the ground wires well enough. You need to ground wherever you plan to connect it to all the way to bare metal. That should be good.

I guess some people have had problems with relay. Easily available and cheap. There are many of us that have had no issues, however. I've personally installed 4 with excellent results. Some of those people mounted the relays upside down and had moisture get in them also. Gotta use your head, do the grounds good etc. I would buy more Putco harnesses if I had more Jeeps to upgrade with a supplemental headlight harness.

I'm thinking about getting the wiring harness with Autopal housings off ebay but I don't know what wattage bulbs to get. Is the 90 watt low beam a lot brighter than the 55 watt? I've read that a lot of people think the 90 watt is too bright to have as a low beam, even when aimed properly.

I've got 90/100 Phillips bulbs and don't get flashed. Well, except by that old guy in the trench coat on the corner anyway....
