Hey so i done the HID kit from ebay bad choice but everything finally works. But the problem i had was i could not get the high beams to turn on. So doing research i found nothing. So i played around with it for awhile and figured i would try checking the high beam fuse which is in the passenger floor kick panel. They were not blown but i took them out just to see if that was the case and sure enough it was. So i removed both and now i have high/low beams. I dont know if this has been a problem for anyone but i figured i would share. 1998 Jeep Cherokee Classic is what i have.

can you take pics of your setup? is it a actual bi-xenon setup? if so it should have a fuse and a relay. if you just ordered a h4 kit its most likely just a low beam kit.

way better
I just completed the make your own harness. A huge differance. I'm running h4 100w bulbs from eBay and they were just OK in my 96. I put them in my 98 and it was making a burning smell. Ran relays and wires and they are perfect acid super bright. I recommend to all xjs

so i just want to make sure b4 ordering...will the putco harness work with stock headlights? it says in a couple places it will on the thread but when you go to order it it says: Fitment Note: Bulb types vary by vehicle. Please verify that your vehicle uses a bulb type of H4 prior to ordering.
So will it or will it not work with stock headlights

instead of replacing the switch couldnt i just disconnect the wires that run to the headlights from it and hook them to a separate toggle. that way my dash lights and everything will still work with the headlight switch and i can use the toggle for the headlights themselves. Or is this a bad idea?

Toggle has no circuit breaker. Wires will melt instead. Your choice.

I just installed the harness from LMC Truck today as well as the Autopal housing and Hella 80/100W bulbs. The harness worked great, easy install, except I did add a 25 amp fuse to the lead power to the harness. I also cut off the bright yellow wire sleeve and used high temp black loom. Here are a couple of pics - I zip tied the the old bulb and new harness plug together, ground right behind the light housing.
