I notice, I was able to pull it down to work with. I bought the headlight switch connector and my son reconnected the wires, need to find my crimper for the butt connectors, is that what you're talking about? Started getting dark, and I had a paper to finish. Will finish in the AM.

Good to know that is available, at least now.
Maybe they told me it would take a week or so for them to get one. I don't quite remember, it was over a year ago. I needed to get it fixed ASAP because that was the only vehicle available to my daughter where she was living at that time.
Did you not get a Jeep switch? As I said in my earlier post, I have not had good experiences with aftermarket switches. Maybe you will.

I couldn't buy the Jeep switch, unfortunately I couldn't afford it. The headlights are working now but the panel lights shut off when I turn on the headlights. What gives???

Have you tried moving the dimmer function back and forth on the headlight switch?
IIRC, the cluster lights are wired in with the taillights and the marker lights. Check and see if they are working.

There are three choices at Rock Auto, ranging from $22-32. They have the headlight switch, too. Connector is also available at at least one online dealer, part # 5019911AA, around $50. The switch at the dealer is about $60.

Yes, I tried the dimmer switch. If I pull the **** out slowly to turn on the headlights the dash lights will come on but then when I pull the **** all the way out they shut off. I will check the other cluster lights.
