I have a 1995 jeep cherokee and last night the headlights won't work. Park lights work and turn signals and when I pull on the multifunction switch the headlights work briefly but will not stay on. Any suggestions ?

 

Probably time for a new headlight switch. It was a cheap and easy fix on my 98

 

FYI there is a small metal button on the switch that when pushed will release the ****.

 

Thanks thats where i will start then. just wasn't sure if there was a relay that was causing it.

 

The XJ headlight circuits actully don't have any relays. This is the leading cause of headlight switch failure. It's a really good idea to add one - the Writeups section here has a couple of guides on how to do so. Improve your safety and reliability for $30! Can't go wrong! (more light output and no more failed headlight switches)
