Has anyone redid there headliner that has a sunroof? I was gonna rip mine out but then i remembered I have a sunroof thats good for nothing but causing problems...should I just pull the headliner out around it?

The headliner shouldn't have anything to do with sealing that.

I think you would be fine. You'll probably just have a 1 inch gap between the sun roof trim and the bare metal where there used to be the head liner backing. Thin strip of wood trim would eliminate that, if it annoys you.
Again, that's my assumption.

Alright troth, so like yours my alarm sensor thing was useless, but since cutting those wires I have had nothing but problems.

First I blew the fuse to my radio/door locks. Thought nothing of it and replaced the fuse. Now the same circuit has failed, but the fuse is fine.... I even reattached the wires to the plug from the sensor to no avail.

Now I have no radio/dome lights/door locks. Help

shoot thats weird. I didnt cut mine at the wires, I cut one of the wires at the base of the alarm sensor and wrapped it in E tape. for the others, I left them intact and tucked them into one of those holes on the rails so you cant see them. dod you tape all of the ends and are sure none of the them are touching your body or eachother? which fuse? in fuse block by drivers feet? or under the hood?

I've done the headliner 3 times, in 3 different Cherokees. Keeping it helps the stereo accoustcs too. It's really pretty easy, all the trim and seat belts unscrew (on 96 and older), then the board comes out. You can peel what's left of the headliner off and sometimes the first layer of the foam backing comes off to, but I just glued the new headliner to what's left and it works just fine. I bought the headliner material at a regular old fabric store for $10.99 a yard, so about 20 bucks, get a can of that 3M spray glue (I never had an issue with it falling off) and just spray both the foam board and headliner. You'll need an assistant, just make sure you don't let it fold on itself 'cause it aint coming back off! Oh, and don't do it on your kitchen floor if you don't want your wife hollering about all the over spray on her linoleum!

No such fuse on mine Troth. Or at least not named OBS. What does it control?

controls the radio, domes, and i think power doors. did you pull all of your fuses in your engine fuse block to check if one is blown?

not yet, as most are labeled "engine control" or "ABS" or "AC Fan"

Might you be able to snap a couple of pics of yours so I can compare? make sure ours have the same wiring.

Fixed it. The 'i.o.d.' fuse under the hood was blown. Appreciate it man.

I never would've gone through all the fuses in the hood, as I was under the impression those were almost solely engine control. ECU, ABS, A/C Fan, Auto Trans, etc. I was thanking you for continuing to give help, long after the issue spawning the original post had been solved.

I redid mine with a replacement kit off the internet. ( Which had enough for the overhead console too. ) Used org. color foam backed. Cost around $50. And an afternoon of my time. I also threw a layer of sound damping material, on the backside of liner. Before re-installing. Because of the stereo, and insulating properties. I live in Wis. Mine mustily see's snow.
