my only opinion on wraping is it is going to trap heat inside what your wraping thus keeping more heat inside the engine. wraping the intake manifold in my opinion isnt going to block heat because no matter what its going to get hot air pulled inside the intake thus not letting heat out. also if its wraped and does get hot its only gonna retain heat. just my thoughts agree or not i dont care. just sharing my opinion.

That is a good question. you go to all the work of finding ways to keep the heat out. What happens when the heat gets in.... How does it get out.. good question my friend....... I think the key is to find ways to keep the heat in the exhaust and out of the intake. If anything was going to be wrapped it should be the exhaust.... Though I am looking into ideas for the intake. came across this site that tested sounds and heat deadening products.

The best one stood up to 500 degrees. I don't think the intake manifold would get that hot but its worth a check. You think wrapping the intake in that stuff would help?

Yea guys I don't think anyone wanted to wrap the intake just the exhaust manifold. I agree it would be stupid to wrap the intake but I didn't see were anyone said anything about doing that? I do not think it would help in any way using any product. But Dynomat does have a replacement hood liner which works great for noise and keeping heat off the hood but other than that I don't see any other application.

What about this stuff?
http://www.sounddeadenershowdown.com/heat/

You think that would help the intake be more resistant to heat?
How hot does the exhaust manifold ( or header ) not including ceramic coated get?

it wouldn't help but a buddy showed me a neat trick by just using a piece of spare steel as a spacer for the hood hinge lifting it up about an 1.5" and makes a cowl like effect that can be easily removed if you don't like it.
