Default Heated seat switch?

Hello! So i wanna deck my jeep out a little bit. I want to install some heated seat pads but when looking around i noticed there is a factory looking

heated seat switch that goes in the middle of the center console where that little change door is. Thing is it is 70 dollars for just 2 little switches. Did cherokees even come with heated seats from factory or is this an aftermarket thing? If so is there a cheaper one? If not i can make my own lol just thought it was cool.

Yeah the 97 up with leather seats had heated seats as a option on them. That is a factory switch or you could get a switch panel for the change hole and use any switches you want and have room for other stuff like off road lights.

sweet i may think about that. Also i never seen a jeep with leather seats before, Nightmare to maintain leather and rather stick with cloth lol. But i may think about doing that.

Upgraded my one piece cloth buckets to removable headrest leather ones. Only power on the driver's side and not heated. I picked two sets in so so condition cheap. Cleaned them up as best I could and covered them. I turned a passenger seat into a driver's seat cause they were in slightly better shape. The upper seat cover swaps no problem. Same part number. The bottom was a little more involved. The seat covers hide the fact that now the carpet is on the outside and leather by the console. I used the Coverking Rhinohides. As far as putting heating pads in there are some aftermarket one and you could probably wire them up using the factory switch you found. Some shots for you.

Leather will last a long time if you use the right cleaner and conditioner on it,Most people never do it so the leather turns hard and cracks. As far as heated seats theres kits on the market to add them to any seat you want just gotta take the cover off the seat.

Yeah i like leather but for me in florida the seats burn you now contrary to the question wait you live in florida and want heated seats why? well when my back acts up the heat makes it hurt less at nights when i get off. But cloth i prefer to sit in since leather doesnt breath and i sweat like alot so leather is a no go for me. Plus ik you have to maintain them to keep them nice but i dont have time for that currently lol and be better off with cloth. They look very nice tho i will admit. Maybe if i move to a colder place i will get leather but for now the sun beats on the seats and gotta keep an eye on them for cracking lol. Its hard to repair leather imo. But looks great nonetheless i think it looks great with the tan interior.

Hey EEVEE!

I just bought the same switch to install into my 1999 - but I didn't get any of the pigtails. Can you post a few pictures of the plastic connector at the back where the harnesses plug into the seats? I am going to try to see if I can find the connectors for sale anywhere to build my own harness.

Thanks!!

You could try the FSM or Mopar parts catalog and see if there's a diagram. Or Google the part number and see if ebay has any for sale with good picturesm

So after I did all that work above last year, see the above post, I came across 2 Camel leather removable headrest heated seats, both power seat bases, the switch and harness. For $80. Did have to drive about 350 miles round trip to pick them up. So if I am going to use them I get to do all that work again. So the first 4 shots are the connectors that go in the back of the switch. The next 2 are the connector that goes underneath the driver's seat. 2 after that are the passenger one. Then a shot of the whole harness. So I have not gotten into them yet but it appears there is not just a heating pad in there like WJ's with heated seats have. The heating wire is part of the seat cover. Since the seats are in so so shape I have to figure a few things out. First is to see if they work. Second if they do I want to refresh the seats. Might try to use aftermarket heating pads with the factory harness. Sorry for the lousy shots. Let me know if you need more shots.

Default cherokee heated seat console switch

Does anyone know where i can get one of these? I have a 2000 limited and it has heated seats. I can’t find a heated seat console switch anywhere? Or does anyone know a substitute I could use? After that I’ll be returning to this column to move to stage two (fixing the heater in the drivers seat

If you have heated seats. Is something wrong with your switches?
Just trying to figure out why you think you need different ones.

I just bought this truck used. I may be able to fix it and get it functioning but I'm not sure how long its actually going to last. Its currently disassembled in several parts in my cup holder. The prior owner said the switch was shot and he just never replaced it.

The truck itself is in great shape (it just came back from my mechanic). I rarely use the heat in a car so I love my heated seats.
