Something is amiss here Mr. Bimmer.
You said all you need to do is remove the rubber stoppers to roll the glove box down, but that pic shows the glove box removed by removing its attachment screws. Is that your pic or did you steal it off the internet?
Additionally, I think the '98 XJ connector C209 (Green connector) was to the left of the blower relay, not to the right as shown. Another internet pick-up?
I think you complied the blower relay fix from what others have done, not what you actually have done.

Perhaps it is that this fix was similar to something he has done before on other vehicles. It seems like Jeep engine, suspension, and driveline has been new to him.
On a side note, whacking the under side of my glove box area makes the blower come on.

And the legend of the bimmer continues to grow. It did seem suspect from the beginning. Not a single new expensive tool was purchased and no lengthy exchanges of how to solve the complicated rubber stoppers. Busted!

The first pic of the HVAC dials was before I went out to the car was a borrowed picture.
If this was a year ago, I would not been able to remove the relay.
I now know to use a screwdriver to pry things apart.
The relay wasn't fully seated, or maybe your relay was stuck.
Why don't you buy a new one for $4 and 10 mins labor?

Bimmer, thanks for the spelling corrections. You disappoint me. I was anticipating a radio change thread from you. Haha. Honestly, I find your threads great. They are so much more entertaining than he standard; crank no start, 4.5 and 33 lift???, and the seasonal no heat/ overheating threads. You know before odgreen edits my posts and shuts them down. I took the relay out and it Chrysler PN 56006709. Where are all of you getting these for $4? NAPA sells it for around $15-17. Looks to be the same as the ASD relay.
