Heater Blower Motor Recommendation...
I need to replace mine, I'm thinking the squirrel cage is cracked.
Is there a brand you guys recommend for longevity? Oem runs about $135, $100 more than aftermarket. Worth the extra money?
Sounds exactly like this guys..

I look at it this way, the original one lasted about 20 years.
How long do you plan on keeping the XJ? The blower motor is an easy fix. So, If you keep the XJ, another 20 years & spend $135.00, & it last the 20 years, its money well spent.
Or, you buy a cheap one for a quarter of the price and you get 5 years out of it, you are on par for the time / cost failure rate.
One thing I would at least consider, is it a plug and play, or do you cut wires and crimp them together for an install. I personally prefer a plug & play.

I've run the aftermarket ones for a drcade with no issues.
that said, you must understand that asking for a particular brand that is better than another is a shot in the dark these days with all the chinese knock-off stuff everyone is selling.
