Heater blower works stops after turning off then on
I have already changed the Resistor Jeep cherokee XJ 97. Heater blower works until I turn my Jeep off after driving for atleast 15 minutues then will will not turn on again unless the Jeep has been off for an hour or more...heat issue maybe ?

From my understanding what makes the resistor go in the first place is the fact that the blower is using more power because it is wearing and aging. So if the resistor was toast there's a good chance the motor on the blower is as well. Of coarse that's not the only reason a resistor will go bad but it's the most likely.
Also from my experiences with electric motors they will stop working when they are overheated and will work again once cooled. So perhaps it's time for a new blower motor.

I think Waynerd is on the money. Time to put an amp-clamp on the blower fan harness and see what type of amperage it is drawing when running.
Switches can also cause problems, but a burnt out resistor implicates the motor more than the switch.
Was the resistor failed (burned/melted) or did you change it out just as an initial step to see if it would help?

Resistor looked good and it seemed to work fine for about a week then went back to stopping like before when turning the Jeep off. It works great when I first start the jeep each day and will work after Jeep has turned off for anywhere from 30 min to an hour. I will probably change the blower motor there only about $35. what I put in another post was my fan direction switch it doesn't work suddenly only blows air in defrost.
