Found this super thread with pics and all. https://www.naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=931690 Somebody stated that they got the heater core out without removing evaporator, but spent 2,5hrs on that one bolt… So I guess Ill talk with my local workshop to get them to drain my AC, and then I’ll order a new evaporator also. At least I’ll get a good service on my AC at the same time…

Tried to blow through the air channels with compressed air, and I feel that there might be a slight improvement in airflow on warm. But still way too low. So I’ll order myself a new core and evaporator from RockAuto.

With the engine not running but the key turned to the on position and the top level in some mode the blower shooed be running . Now if move the bottom lever to the far right heat point does the blower stop complete?

No the blower goes with the speed selected, but airflow stops. So the air that should be heated must be stopped by something on the way, and I suspect 35years of dust blocking the fine airchannels through the heater core.
