Heater problem
I have a problem with my heater it doesnt blow air so i thought it might be the blower, but the heat will randomly turn on some days and work great and most days not work at all. Its snowy here in Montana right now so its kinda cold i was just wondering if anybody else had this problem before and would be able to help? I own an 88' cherokee limited if that makes a difference.

let me rephrase that question the heater still works but it blows out a low amount of air only when im driving, not if i just start it up. Some days i start the engine and it works fine for awhile then suddenly stops blowing.

I would hook up the blower to the battery and see if it works,if it does then it could be the resistor behind the glovebox, the switch,if it does not work when hooked to the battery then replace the blower.
Check the blower and lets see what you have.

If the blower or resistor was bad why would it work sometimes?I would have thought it would just not work at all. Because when it works i can adjust the speeds from low to high and it works normally. This is why im so confused with the situation.

From the fuse and back it can be anything from the switch, resistor, blower, bad ground, etc. But to find the problem need to find out what is good,I do not think it is the resistor,I think it maybe the switch or a bad ground, but make sure the blower will come on and run steady when hooked up to the battery.

test the blower like he said before... and pull the resistor... im not sure what they look like in the jeeps but most vehicles ive seen look like a circuit board and if its bad itll be all burnt up... so check both them and then hit us back...
