Jeez, I honestly was not aware that asking for help was such a big deal. I asked for help because temperatures here get below freezing in October, so heat is kind of important. Before I pull everything to check the blower motor is there anything else that could possibly be the problem?

Not a big deal. You've been given the info you need. Go look under the hood/firewall on the passenger side. There's the blower motor with a 2 wire plug.

No need to pull anything yet. TEST as you've been advised.

No, I just had work to do today, so I didn't get back to it.

Uh, that "work" thing, maybe you should look into it...

Agreed. Test it there first. Don't do anything else until this test.

Also, if you are new to wrenching, (Not intended as an insult if you aren't) then google DVOM and uses and how to read schematics.

Once you learn those two things you will most of the mechanical problems you encounter licked with a little common sense and practice.

The nuts and bolts parts are easy enough to follow on the billion youtube videos.

Depending on the year, it is pretty straight forward. I have a 93 and had to remove the windshield wiper bottle to get to the fan motor. In mine it is only the fuse, the heater resistor, or the motor. I have had to replace the resistor twice (works on high only) and the motor twice. If there gets to be much resistance from bearing wear it will not turn but the first time it did not blow the fuse and the second one did. If you have 12VDC at the plug then pull the motor. If you don't, test for voltage at the resistor.

Do you have a wiring diagram for your XJ?

If you pull the motor, do not lose the washers that go through the rubber mount as they keep you from squishing the rubber too much when re-installing. I lost one.
