Default help

I have a 2000 sport 4.0 I drove it into water about 2 months ago stalled out because of water in the intake. I got it started about 2 hours following and was running rough.have been driving it fine ever since no power loss or sign of hydrolock. Did a seafom flush new full syn.oil change new double plats and new coil bar but still is a misfire cylinder 2 code coming up the only thing left is the injectors. And if so is there any consequences of swapping them for new 5.0 injectors? Wouldn't that turn the light on from burning too rich? Many suggestions appreciated thank you

Go back to copper plugs......autolite. set at proper gap.

reset computer ( batt disconnect 30 seconds, both terminals. Touch and hold both terminal wires together 10 seconds. re-install terminal wires, start jeep, see what codes you still if any get).

still get codes? 2000 xj, notorious for cracked head. compression test to see if hot/cold immersion to water caused head crack or head gasket fail.
compression test will tell you.

other posts here on injector swap, too numerous to mention, do a search, you'll find it.

good luck to you sir!

I agree. Dump the spark plugs and go copper.

case in point, my neighbor 4.0L with distributor less coil-pack setup bought brand new platinum, I know, cuz I watch him put them in.

ran like crap.....we went an got copper, put them in, smooth as silk.

this is 2004 vehicle too.

As I have said before, I may be wrong, but I know what works.
