Help! '89 4.0 wont start, thinking fuel issue, but!

uhm i think its pretty easy to crank it a few times and push on the fuel release valve on the rail ^_^

btw fixed the issue, I took out the fuel filter and put my thumb over the hose from the tank and had a buddy crank the engine, fuel sprayed out with pressure so I knew it wasnt in the tank. I blew out the fuel filter, took off the fpr and blew the line out backwards, got new O-rings for the fpr since someone put epoxy on it to keep it from leaking... put it back together, cranked it for awhile and it started up, seems fine now

so hooray no dropping of the tank

Epoxy on the o-rings. Some peolple are just plain retarded. Glad to hear you found the problem.

yeah lol like $3 bucks for new o rings is to much to spend ^_^ oh well, looks better now :P

so i conclude the problem was just a clogged fuel line/filter?
