Default Help With Cabin Wiring Connector - 91 Cherokee Laredo

I tried to search for the answer to this question but was unable to find an answer so here goes ... After completely removing the interior and welding in a new floor (from the rear bumper to the firewall) I'm finally in a position to reinstall the interior.

I have installed sound deadener and foam insulation and I'm about to reinstall the carpet. The wiring harness that is under the carpet has a connector that I can't remember where it goes. Also, there are a couple of wires that appear to be cut at the connector (and the connector is corroded) that I'm wondering if I need . I bought and stripped the jeep a number of months ago and I'm just getting it back together.

Any assistance would be appreciated!

Are those cut wires from the connector? If so, what's holding the connector on?

The only other connector in that area I can think of is the power seat connector. However, FSM show one red one blk.

Hi Saudade ... there is 1 black wire going to the connector and that's what's holding it to the harness. As it is a 2 blade connector I'm only guessing that one of the red wires belongs to the connector ... but I'm no electrician The other red wire is also a mystery.

On another note ... is the park brake connector in the picture correct? ...

Thank you for getting back to me!

P.S - I tried to upload a couple of more pics of the connector but the site seems to get stuck at 90% when uploading. If I can get it to work I'll add them in a separate reply

Hi Adam ... I have the carpet, seats and center console reinstalled. I have decided to leave that connector the way it is for the time being and proceed with body work ... if for some reason I notice something isn't working properly I'll revisit it then. It won't be hard to get back to if necessary.

Biggest problem now is getting the driver's side kick panel reinstalled with all of the wiring behind it ... got to stuff a bunch of big connectors in behind it and still get the screw to engage!

Thanks
