1998 XJ 4.0 - Just changed Ignition Lock Cylinder because of starting issue. starting great now, but It beeps when I take the key out and open the door as if the headlights are on. It will stop when the door shuts, which leads me to believe that its not a short, but i'm not positive. Can anybody help me with this issue???

 

UPDATE! just tried to start my truck and it wouldn't start. swapped back to old key cylinder just to see if dinging stopped. The dinging stopped AND it Turned over, so now its working with the old ignition again... whats going on with this demonic XJ???? please help, i just left work to go back to school full time and i'm 4 hours from family and friends and I don't know my way around very well, I need this thing to work.
