Help! Dropped main bearing cap, slight dent on bearing : (
Hello Cherokee forum!
Have a quick question for you guys! I got too excited installing my rear main seal and accidently dropped the main bearing cap and put a slight dent in the bearing. Kinda strange how this had to be the main point of contact when falling lol. I only dropped it from a few inches off the ground.
My question is if I sand the corner down a bit with fine sand paper would I be safe using this bearing? Or should I replace it. I'm not pulling the crank out to replace the top bearing! Please let me know what you guys think!
And I apologize for the really stupid question!
